  • Ultimate Compound separating ? - storage issue?

    Hi all,

I've ran into a problem where my ultimate compound seem to have separated. ie. very liquid with chunks of polish.

Is there a possible cause for this? Could it be storage environment?
I have a couple more UC stored the same way and they did the same thing as well.

I'll try to get some pictures over the weekend, but any ideas' welcome.

    thanks!

I think I've notice the same. I use it often so I'll probably pick up another bottle to compare.

Is it staying in this condition after you have thoroughly shaken the bottle? If so post in the customer service section of MOL and they will probably send you a free bottle.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

      I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
      Remove swirls my friends.

Just sitting, I would tend to believe most things will separate. Does it go back to normal after a good shaking? Is the product exposed to extreme heat? Was it ever frozen?

Mine separates after a day or two, and I consider it normal.

              here's a pix of what it's like.
It's not the usual separation. Note the clumped up polish.
And the liquid is watery, not at all creamy.
No matter how much I shake it, it stays this liquid, and polish remains in little clumps.

              What is should be (?)

That reminds me to go shake up all my polishes and waxes.

                  Any feedbacks ?
Not really looking for compensation/exchange since it would probably cost more to mail it in from Taiwan.
I'm just curious about what went wrong, so I can prevent it from happening again.

That doesn't look right and is not the normal consistency. If you've shaked the dickens out of it and it still looks like that, I would toss it and get another bottle. Also, when at the store, shake all the bottles they have and pick one that feels to be more of a solid consistency and not all watery inside.
