  • Scratch X 2.0 on clear coats?

Hi Everyone, Newbie to detailing/car care from Down Under!

Just a quick question (sorry if it has been covered before, did a search to no avail...), Is Scratch X 2.0 safe for clearcoats? I have some minor swirl marks and want to buff them out using Scratch X 2.0...

I have a Mothers Wax Attack Palm Polisher to apply it, or is it better to hand apply the product?

FYI its going on a brand new toyota Aurion (white paint)

    Thanks!

Yes it is safe on clear coats. I would suggest going by hand rather than using the palm polisher or even better, buy a DA and use that!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

Yeah, you will likely get better results by hand. There just isnt enough power in the palm polishers.
