    Re: Favorite non-Meguiar's Products?

    So many heretics!

Okay, here are my heresies, most of which have been mentioned:

    1) Eagle One tire dressing applicators--they are cheap, available, and they work.

    2) Optimum No Rinse--I can't believe that Meguiar's has not yet developed a product that can compete with ONR.

    3) Pinnacle Souveran--I love this wax. Wipe one/wipe off. No staining. Deep wet look. But doesn't last very long.

    4) Mother's Reflections Tire Care--a nice matte look. I'm sure there are plenty of tire dressings that are just as good, if not better, including Megs' products (e.g., Natural Shine). But I like this dressing.

    5) 1Z Cockpit Premium--matte look. It is more expensive than Megs' Quick Interior Detailer. I'm not sure which is best. I think I prefer the 1Z but QID is a close second. QID has the advantage that one can use it to clean leather seats. But 1Z CP gives a truly matte look.

    6) Stoners Invisible Glass--it's readily available and does a good job. I've heard good things about NXT glass cleaner, but I just don't see it around.

    7) Ultima Paint Guard Plus--a wipe on/walk away sealant. I use this on my wife's CR-V. It only takes me 10 minutes to seal the entire car. I don't have to worry about buffing it off. It's even easier than UQW.

3Fitty, So I finally got to put some midnight sun on top of my wet diamond today! I must say it looks awesome! It added some depth however, in return it did seem to take away a little bit of slickness but that could be my mind playing tricks on me I also applied some to my dads white car and couldnt see to much difference their. It did get a little darker and possibly gave it a more wet look but I didnt see much added benefit on white. I think I prefer the reflectivity of NXT rather than carnuba on white. However, I would have to compare this side by side to really decide that

This seems to be the consensus and I'm not sure the trade off is worth it to me (espcially since my cars are silver and white). I still haven't got a chance to try mine, but I'll report back when I do.

Favorite non-Meguiar's product right now would have to be Mother's Back to Black, lasts long and looks good.

I am surprised nobody here has mentioned Porter Cable.

So everybody in this thread uses a G100 or G110?

I'm sure that you have a dozen jars of Zymol Atlantique tucked under a stack of Ultimate Wipes somewhere.

I tried it a while ago and did NOT like it as well. It just seems watery and just seems to cover things up, not really mosture trim like Gold Class Trim Detailer does. And yes, I know that you don't actually penetrate that textured plastics, but GC TD seemed to do a better job than B2B.

I wanted to bump to this and hope that Mike Phillips may have a few new favorites after his time at Autogeek.

So, Mike, are you are you picking Pinnacle Sovereign over MPPP? Collinite over M16? Anything good to say about the two?
