    Re: Hello From San Diego

    Welcome to MOL!!

Hate to say it, but that roof really does look like clear coat failure.

One question though - why so set on So1o? It's really designed as a system for buffing out fresh paint. You'd probably be better off just picking up a collection of pads via mail order and some Ultimate Compound at your local Pep Boys or Wal-Mart. Don't underestimate the power of UC - it may be a consumer product that you can pick up for a mere $10/bottle, but it makes use of the same SMAT technology found in M105, etc and does an outstanding job. It has a very long buffing cycle so it's incredibly user friendly, especially for someone just getting into machine polishing.

If you can take Mark Kleis up on his offer, by all means do it. He's a great guy and really knows his stuff. Assuming you two can set aside your old high school rivalries!!

Thanks Michael. I'll try that UC and go from there.

Is that the Meza Body Shop Supplies in Lemon Grove off Broadway? I go to that area all the time to get great deals at GTM Stores. The dealership where I bought my car and have my service done is less than a half mile from them. Thanks for the heads up

I just gave them a call and they do carry Meguiar's products. They have various pads and one thing I called about was M105 which they do have but it costs more than Meza Body Supplies. Meza is located in Chula Vista off of Main St. off the 805.

            BodyShopSupplies new number is 619-464-4131

I visited the Meza Body Supplies store in Lemon Grove over the weekend and it was like a treasure trove of Meguiars products. Bought a gallon of Last Touch, some gold applicator pads, and these Gold Class brushes.

Picked up the Versa Angle Body Brush and the Wheel Face Brush for $9.50 and $7.50 respectively, and the interior brush for $5. Not a bad purchase for $22 total. The store had several other discontinued Megs items for sale like the terry cloth with satin edge (1 only), a Solo pad kit (again, 1 only), and some Megs microfober wash sponges I had never seen before

Nice find Mike! I actually should get some brushes and some other odds and ends. Gotta check them out this week. I'm assuming they close at 5PM on the weekdays like the Chula Vista location

Bad news, sd. They only had one brush of each type, and I bought most of them. They do have one large Megs body brush left with a detachable head. And they do close at 5:00 PM.
