A big thank you to Meguiar's, Mike P. and Mike S!
Also a shout out to all those... that didn't make it! I got lots of extra pizza and extra time on my car.
It was nice to be back in the OC to pick up my old hobbies after a few years!
I hope Meguiar's post the pics of my swollen hand from the DA. LOL. I will bring my skirt next time.
My paint is super, super clear now! Yeah #105 and DA!
Thanks to Mike S. for knocking out the slight scrub mark on the hood!
For all those that... no called, no showed.... I'm thinking....
if you haven't seen this it's funny and oh so cool! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BePe0ueyx0o
Thanks again Meguiar'sSRT-10 Silver

I had a blast even though it seemed like a ghost town. Thanks to the Mike Team for sticking around & continuing with the show. Newport Vipers car is well, AMAZING. Nice to see little brother with big brother under one garage roof. The DNA in these cars are pretty cool.Jesse

Re: Pictures from Thursday Night Open Garage - September 17th, 2009
Well, we may have had a light turnout last night but we still had fun - and plenty of it!
Rick got to spend some quality time learning proper G110 use. That truck of his has a lot of square footage to cover, so he's going to be a certified expert by the time he's done with that baby!
Dave (AKA Newport Viper) is back in town and plans on being a regular at our TNOG events once again. He's still carrying a bunch of Meguiar's supplies next to his golf clubs too!
As much as we appreciate that, we kinda like what's under the hood too!
Unfortunately, a garage door came slamming down on the hood of the Viper, leaving a nasty set of scratches in it.
Since this Viper has ridiculously hard paint, we had no choice but to pull out the rotary to correct not only this problem but some nasty, set in water spots on the trunk lid too. Here the finishing touches are being handled with a W9207 Soft Buff 2.0 finishing pad and some M205.
Silver SRTs in da house!
Look at the glow on the front of that Viper! Dave gave the whole car a once over with the G110/W8207/M105 to bring back the clarity of the paint. This was his first time using M105 and he likes it!!
Dave had to roll out a bit early so we bid a fond farewell as the big snake (uh, the car, not Dave ) slithers into the darkness.
On to a beautifully maintained Buick Regal......well, with a fair number of swirls anyway. Nice, workable paint though, and after a little debate SwirlX did an outstanding job correcting the paint here.
Take a close look boys, SwirlX did the trick!
And so, as the evening draws to a close, Paul conducts while Mike plays the G110.

Having the repeat of the Formula 1 Monza Italy race in the background was a nice touch to the night.

Man this is the night i would of most certainly enjoyed. small and private class. i was there last week on the 10th. as much as i enjoyed it being my first time, i would of really liked to get into alot of things, like rotary polishing, different products etc.
is that for a different session? maybe an advanced class, guess ill have to wait for the next nxti class... ive watched so many of the informational vids on youtube such as the 50 minute meguiars training vid... now i just need first hand experience!! so i will be attending another class in the near future- Markito -

It may have been a small group, but it was big fun last night!
Mike S. and Dave put a lot of buffing time in on the Viper. One of the rare nights where garage time was plentiful.
A big thank you to Mike Stoops, Mike Pennington and Meguiar's for making these TNOG's available and so great!

I tell ya the Viper looked so good at the, Cars and Coffee in Irvine this am. It looks like it has 10 coats of clear on it.
I was driving around and looking at how very clean the paint on the hood looks. No Swirls or hard water drops.
M105 is a great product for the very hard, hard paint on this car!SRT-10 Silver
