Re: Pictures from September 19th, 2009 - Saturday Open Class!
Thanks to all who attended this past Saturday. You must all be Car Crazy, because even though it was a beautiful day, you decided to spend it with us here at Meguiar's
A special thanks for the below photographs courtesy of MOL member Ed Mendez - Ed 718
I am pretty sure we have more photos so stay tuned

You'll be back soon enough, and can share some stories of your travels with us!
Apologies for the wait, but here are a few more pictures from Saturday. We really appreciate you guys and gals spending so much time with us on a beautiful Saturday.
This is what we were faced with - in direct sunlight the swirls were really nasty!
Under artificial light in the garage they were still pretty horrible.
We did our usual clay process to remove above surface bonded contaminants.
After doing one test spot by hand with Ultimate Compound we did another using the G110/W8207 Soft Buff 2.0 Polishing Pad/Ultimate Compound. Which side would look better? The suspense was just killing you guys, wasn't it?!
Once we finished both test spots and applied a coat of NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 we pulled the car back into the sun for the ultimate test. Here's the machine polished spot:
And here's the spot done by hand. Not too shabby.
Here's an example of how not to use the G110 - as soon as that pad starts to lean over the safety features of the machine will stop it from rotating. You won't hurt the paint, but you won't be anywhere near as effective at removing defects. Keep your eyes open and pay attention to the positioning of the machine and you'll get better results in less time.
Now that is a pad nice and flat against the paint!

Thanks for having us at the class saturday. I always learn something new when I attend in addition to getting to know the new 09 products.
