  • Waxing without leaving white residue in the chips

The front of my car has several small rock chips in the paint. When I wax the white residue stays in the chips and makes the chips look worse. The car is dark gray. What is the solution? Is there a colored wax that I could use?

    First, + 2 MOL

I normally find UQD or QD and a microfibre removes residue in crevices or spots.

        to MOL!

You could get a Gold Class Sliding Lock Brush (they're discontinued, but sometimes you can find them at dollar stores or places like that), move the sliding part up so you have the short bristles, and use that to get the wax out of the chips. It's made of boar's hair, so you won't scratch the paint.

Some waxes, whether Meguiar's or not, are more prone to leaving white residue behind. M26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax is our premium professional carnauba wax, available in both paste and liquid format, and it dries clear so it should solve this issue for you.

What wax are you using currently?

I have the same problem with our Neon, I use M26 on it and never looked back, the rest of the car, depends what mood I'm in......M16/M26/NXT 2.0/GC/M20/M21 and recently tried Do Do Juice Banana Armour for giggles.
