l am not a painter but have sqirted a few and they turned out okay . but this time l did a fender for my son whos got a 87 supra turbo . now when l cleared it some spots that are cloudy turned up. l thought it was just to thick and once it cured it would be a matter of cut polish it out . l am using med cut and fine cut and so far they are still there. it was cleared over fresh color coat . its shiny as hell but still has spots that are cloudy. any ideas , l have not gone down to the color.

cloudy spots in fresh clearcoat is typical of too much humidity when the clearcoat was shot.
Since you already tried buffing it out and it didn't make a difference than you are most likely going to have to sand down the clearcoat and respray it again. This time wait until a day with less humidity.What am I, fly-paper for morons? -

thank you for the answer l am going to try to use a rougher than medium and try again . l just hope l dont need to do it again l live in a rain forest .Comment
