Can't really think of any cons...the stuff works great! You can use it on all your windows and mirrors.

No real cons.... just dont follow the directions.

Put it on, let it sit, then wipe off with a damp towel, then a dry towel.

I prefer to use UQW on my windows. It may not last as long but it is 10x easier to apply.

One thing I love about rainX is how water freezes on it... Actually it makes water crystalize, taking much less time to melt off.

So clay your windows and rainx them. You will never regret it.

              Just a tip, DONT OVER-APPLY.

I used a bit too much and it took a while buffing the window clean

Rain-X is a great product. Only gripe I had was durability. Other than that, nothing wrong with it.

the instructions only said "do not over apply"

And there really isn't a way to know what is over applying and what isn't.

No way to judge unless you actually DO over apply.

Ultimate Quik Wax is by far better. RainX is alcohol based, smells bad, VERY hard to remove, ruins towels, etc. Definitely use UQW, it works better and is easier to apply... Just Spray on window, wipe off. You don't have to buff and wipe over and over to try to get a clear window.

I never use it anymore. Tired of the chatter it causes on all of my cars. I have an Aquapel application waiting to go on the Neon when it starts raining.

                          Just teasing of course...

If you use a damp/moist MF cloth, followed with a dry one, most of the problems should go away.

I have used both the Rain-X and the AquaPel. I think the AP is a much better product--It lasts for months, gives good beading of water and makes the wipers silent on the glass. I thought the Rain-X worked only half as well and made a big mess.
