As we all know October is breast cancer awareness month. This year Tampa, FL will host a 3 day, 60 mile walk supporting the fight against breast cancer October 30th-November 1st 2009. Walking 60 miles in 3 days is no easy task, but this does not discourage the teams of walkers to complete this event. They understand their contribution brings hope and inspiration.
As the owner of a Luxury Detailing & Tinting business it made me wonder if I could contribute somehow. Just the other day I was talking with a customer while he was waiting & we had a brainstorm, a way that may just make it possible to raise money for such a noble cause. This is what we came up with...
Soakin' Joe's Detailing is offering a premium exotic/show car detail package to be auctioned off to the highest bidder on EBay. Since EBay is Worldwide, we are willing to travel to any location provided all traveling & business expenses are covered as well as an arrangement of a location with a vehicle lift and necessary drainage and power supply along with a sufficient air compressor (this is all needed to perform a complete show car detail). It doesn’t stop there, after your detail is completed, your vehicle will be filled with all kinds of cool products that are also being donated by various companies. From wine to bath products, the list is huge.
The proceeds will be donated to "The 3 Day" in the spirit of surviving and finding a cure for breast cancer. See the details of the walk here: the3day.org
The guys at the “Maximum Motoring” radio show are promoting the event at every break with absolutely no charge. You can listen live every Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 here, maximummotoring.com
Here is a brief description of an Exotic car detail:
Depending on the condition, a Show/Exotic car can take as little as 10 hours and as many as 100 hours to detail. Most are around 20 hours. Show/Exotic car detailing is intensive and covers the entire vehicle. This includes an extensive paint reconditioning/swirl/scratch/oxidation removal, premium polish and wax, engine detail and polish as well as removing the wheels and detailing the outer and inner wheel, fender well, brakes, suspension & under body. This is for the meticulous!
