As mentioned above does the new gold class contain any cleaners? I have a silver car and right now I use nxt 2.0 and top it off with deep crystal wax step 3. The results are amazing after I put on the deep crystal. Wanted to do the same with the new gold class, but if it has cleaners I think I would be wasting my time with the nxt step at that point. Also with the polymers and carnauba does this act as a sealant and traditional wax?

Re: Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax

Good stuff! I don't have experience w/ many of the products most forumites have but here's my 2 cents on this one. After receiving a recommendation via Meguiar's customer srvc, I put a coat of Gold Class Carnuaba Plus paste on my new black Mustang GT. Wow! I had a fresh coat of another brand carnuaba paste which I thought looked pretty good even though I didn't like the way it went on and came off.

The Gold Class Carnuaba Plus paste went on like butter and came off just as nice. It's very easy to work with and the shine is simply fantastic. It's very wet looking with amazing depth and clarity.

So, if I'm reading the posts right the general opinion here is to apply Gold Class Plus over NXT 2.0 and see even better results than with either GCP or NXT alone? It looks to me like it's serving the purpose of a sacrificial layer to the elements as well. Anyone got pics of this combo showing the difference as in a test spot?

Does this wax stain trim/rubber and dry white like NXT2?

Just to clarify from above, this wax is considered a hybrid - but in what range %?

              Thanks!

Re: Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax

Yes, it will stain trim if you allow it to dry on those surfaces. Gold Class would be primarily a carnauba product, but the percentage of anything in it is proprietary information.

Re: Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax

Tried the GC carnauba plus today. The shine is amazing! I layered NXT with the GC and GC 3x as better looking as NXT2.0.
The only problem was me was applying it. It was kind of hard to spread around or maybe because it was my first time using paste wax.
In conclusion! I will be using this wax for any future customers. It shines like a diamond!

Have you guys seen the new formula in a can yet?

I've only seen it in liquid form.

I have seen it in paste form since late January at my Walmart. Autozone carries both varieties but be carfeul because they are also still selling the old GC wax.

I just had a quick scan of this thread and can't see if the question of cleaners has been answered.

For me, having the older versions of GC (both v1 and v2), I'm interested to know if the older versions contained any cleaners. Michael?

It's not classed as a cleaner wax, so no, there aren't any real cleaners in it. It does, however, have excellent hiding ability on really fine defects.

If there was 1 can each of Gold Class Carnauba Plus & Hich Tech Yellow #26 which would you take? (Please don't say both )

Whichever one was cheaper..lol. I have used both and can tell you that they have simiar longevity, about 2 months from what I have seen. This will change depending on your environmnt, season, location, storage, etc. I think that Gold Class Carnauba Plus gives a little shinier finish due to it being a polish/wax but the difference is only slight.

However, if I was looking for a topper to NXT 2.0 I would use M26 due to its zero cleaning ability. I know its only ever so slight cleaners in GC+, they are still there and I think that you are removing more NXT 2.0 than you would with M26. This has been my experience with these two products.

May I also say that M26 and GC original were the two products that got me hooked on Meguiars. You will not be disspointed with either.

Does M26 have any cleaning ability like Gold Class Carnauba? I'm looking for a liquid LSP with zero cleaners.
