M26 in and of itself has zero cleaning ability. It also contains no polishing oils, so it is what we refer to as a "pure wax" rather than a cleaner wax or polish wax.

What about the petroleum distillates in #26?

That in itself would offer some kind of mild cleaning / stain removing ability I presume.

Maybe not enough to be classified as a cleaner wax, but enough to dissolve and remove a previous layer of wax. At least I've always felt that it would.

Anything like that in M26 is so minimal as to be inconsequential. Certainly nothing that you would consider for any sort of stain removal, no matter how minor. That's why M26 is probably the single most popular wax for routine use over M07 - it won't remove any of the polishing oils in M07.

Our Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax is also what we would call a "pure wax" - no cleaners, no polish.

Re: Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax

The last few posts here are particularly interesting to me and it took a lot of searching to find the right thread. I almost always use #21. I have been trying out products as toppers and, even after trying some boutiques, prefer #26 and recently GC+. Although I have read every post in this thread and certainly this has been discussed, I am uncertain on a couple of issues.

            1. Does GC+, in fact, remove NXT?
            2. If yes, ok. If no, is the NXT blocking the oils in the GC+?
            3. As I spend many evenings tinkering in the garage, I often layer carnuaba several times over days and weeks and love the look. If GC+ is more than a carnuaba, is it good to layer? I recognize this is almost the same question as number 1, and it is, but I am also referring to more than just product removal as a I am unclear about layering oils as well.

I really like the look of GC+ (more than 26) and the application. I like the base durability and slickness of #21. So what I WANT to determine is that I can use GCP+ over 21 just like I have any other carnuaba and layer away. However, I don't want to waste time putting on product only to remove previous or receive minimal benefits of the product.

            Thanks

Re: Gold Class Carnauba Plus Wax

could somebody give me the how long last protection between GC+ wax with NXT 2.0 ? i know that NXT 2.0 will last longer...

but maybe with example : under the 100% same situation, if the NXT wax last 3 month, how long the GC+ will last ?

thanks for the answer...i really curious

sorry if this is a strange question

This is not based on any scientific facts or testing, and is an estimate only. Based on my previous experience, GC+ may last approximately half as long as NXT (all things being equal).
The look it gives on dark colours though is amazing and it really is a pleasure to use.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I hadn't used GC since about 5 years ago and, although I was impressed with its shie, it didn't appear to last more than a couple of weeks. Today I tried the new GC; what a difference. Easy to apply, easy to remove, and the slickest finish I can reember in a long time. I did portions of my wife's RDX and my Mazdaspeed 3, and the paint on both was as smooth as silk. Now to see how long it lasts....

Gold Class has always impressed me too. That latest formula is surely the best yet.

Sadly, I still find its a bit short lived. Still a fantastic product to pull out from time to time though.

How long does the gold class wax last on a daily driver? should this be applied once a month?

It is perhaps a bit softer than some of the old school hard carnaubas, including our own M16, but it's not quite as soft as our new Ultimate Wax paste.

As always, exposure is everything. It will last longer longer on a daily driver during a Southern California summer than during a snowy Michigan winter, for example. Depending on where you live, how much rain or harsh sunshine you get, monthly applications may be a good idea, or you may be able to stretch that a bit during the cooler and/or dryer months.

I have GC paste on my DD, applied back in April....but boosted regularly with UQW(every other wash)....once a month seems a bit much? Wouldn't using UQW be easier & faster?
