Alright I haven't tried either yet but I'll be the first to say: we need a professional line version of this and the Ultimate Wash n' Wax.

3M's influence seems to be rubbing off on the bottle designs too.

That and the fact that Scotchgard appears on their product formulations now...

so will this work on tires too or should there still be a dedicated tire shine used. This will be awesome on my C10s tonneau cover

                          Re: Ultimate Protectant

I can't wait until this becomes available. I want to try it on the fenders on my Jeep. I currently use 303 Aerospace, but it washes off in the rain and has to be reapplied after each wash. If this product lasts longer than 303 I'll definitely start using it.
This is the one area that, so far at least, I don't believe any company has successfully addressed. In my experience all trim detailers wash off in the rain way too easily. Hopefully we finally have a good exterior trim product.

No, it's not higher in shine than Supreme Shine and yes, it has plenty of UV protection.

While you can use it on tires, it may not last as long as you'd expect. This is due to the way it dries and the flexing/moving of a tire's sidewall tends to break the bond, so to speak. It really is designed for, let's say, more stationary parts!

Having said that, from a purely personal viewpoint, I happen to like it on tires but then again tire dressings can cause almost the same heated debates as waxes, so we'll just leave it at that.

It'll be nice to get an exterior protectant that doesn't streak in the rain. I've tried M40, Exterior Trim Detailer, and Hyper Dressing on the lower plastics on my parents' Hondas, and they all seem to streak at least a little bit. This product should be very nice to have.
