The little nibs on the sides of the bottle should help to keep it from flying off onto the ground when shaking it up. I especially like the no run in the rain aspect too!!

True story: a few months ago I pull into the parking lot at work and notice the Nissan Xterra that belongs to one of our guys with the Special Events Group. Something looked noticeably different about it but it took a few seconds for it to click - the plastic bumpers looked like they had been replaced. Last time I had seen them they were so faded they were almost white, but very mottled looking too. So I stop by Joseph's desk (owner of the Xterra) and asked what he did.

"Oh, that's some of the new stuff the guys are working on", he said.

"Huh?????" I responded. "That's something new we're developing???? What's it called? How did you apply it? How long has it been on the truck???"

He's chuckling now; "I don't know for sure, they just asked if they could use my truck for a little test. Cool thing is it's totally dry to the touch".

"Whoa, this I gotta see up close" I said, and headed back out to the parking lot and over to the Xterra. I ran the palm of my hand along a good two foot section of the bumper and looked at it. Dry as a bone. Not a mark on the bumper. Yeah, this was going to be something special.

A couple of months later I'm looking the Xterra over once again and asked Joseph how many times the product had been reapplied. "That's still from the first application a couple of months ago" he says.

And we had to wait until now to tell you guys about this!!!!!! You try keeping a secret like that some time!!

If this product is that good perhaps some of the manufacturers will make note of it and put it in their TSB's. Chevy avalanche is one vehicle I can think of.

I think all the guys that reviewed the product before it came out, did a big service to Meguiars and all of us detailing enthusiasts and really makes me want to go out get some of this...

Surely on my short list... but no before I get bundles of 4" pads.

I am intrigued by this. Does this mean it is applied like a wax; i.e. apply, let cure, buff off excess?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

No, you apply like any other dressing. The difference is that this one will actually dry back completely dry to the touch.

                    Re: Ultimate Protectant

I hope I can try it when and if it comes to Canada. I can keep my cladding looking good, but I need to reapply a protectant every week. Quite a hassle. I tried 12 to 15 products on it, including some of Meguiar's and they all failed durability, washing and winter tests.

Currently using Poorboy's Trim Restorer. lasts a bit longer than others, but nothing outstanding.

This is definitely a must have in your bag of detailing products. Up to this day I can still see the difference on the exterior surface I tried it on and that's after a few washes. So it's definitely holding up.

ADS is showing an estimated release date of December. I can't wait to try this on my trim pieces.

Yeah, I can't wait to get some. This looks like the biggest thing since NXT for consumers.

I have black mirrors with some wax residue on them, other products only dress over it until the next wash. Cannot wait!
