One more question for Michael: since the official advertisement of Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner states that it is meant "to both wash and condition paint in one easy step", can it be also considered a wash-and-wax type of product? Does GC Shampoo contain any wax? I purchased a bottle of it this morning. It's been quite a while since the last time I used that shampoo, but I remember that it always used to leave the paint looking radiant, which makes me think that it might contain waxes/sealants.

No, Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner contains no wax or sealant nor have we ever advertised it as such. Ultimate Wash & Wax and Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner are quite different from one another in that regard.

I'm thinking this would be an excellent product for my mom.

I've been teaching her the importance of proper paint car (and my sister too) but they never seem to have the time to really clay, clean, polish and then wax their cars.

This should at least help preserve their paint from wash to wash. Might pick up a gallon as a gift for them

Gold Class shampoo possesses special paint conditioners. They may be similar to Meguiar's trade secret oils (found in their paint cleaners, polishes, waxes, and sealants), but I'm just guessing here.

I've yet to find a better shampoo on the market.

why is it both carnauba wax and polymers and not just one or have two different wash and wax car washes one with only carnauba and one with only synthetics, cause me personally i really dont like carnauba and i dont want have nxt2.0 on my car and be using UQW and then wash my car and mix in the carnauba from the car wash.

inside the car wash, it has both carnauba wax and polymers, i was wondering why megs used carnauba wax in the car wash and not a synthetic wax in the car wash

The protective ingredients in the product are primarily synthetic polymers, but there is some carnauba in it. This is not a primary wax product, so if you're a huge synthetic fan don't expect the small amount of carnauba in this to "ruin" your look. Ooh, now that'll open a can of worms!! Better how? You may like the look better than the look of a synthetic, but synthetics tend to last longer than carnauba waxes do. Of course, if you like to wax your vehicle often anyway, then that's probably a moot point. If carnauba waxes offer properties that you prefer, then perhaps to you they are "better". And plenty of people with agree with you 100%.

With the introduction of Ultimate Wash & Wax, will Meguiar's consider this their new "top-shelf" car wash?

Just for comparison, it's been noted in the past that Gold Class car wash is currently Meguiar's "premium" wash product.
