    Question M205 - M21 and wax

Hi everyone, this weekend I will be using M205 with 2.0 polishing pad first, second with finishing pad, and then M21 with another pad. Everything with the 7424XP. What I wanted to know if I can wax with Hi Tech Paste Yellow Wax, or does M21 has a cure time?? or should I apply the wax after the sealant without problems?
    Thanks in advance!

I've used 21 and from what I've learned here is at least 12 hours cure time. Unless your pressed for time I'd probably top it the next day.

In a perfect world you would want to let the M21 cure for 12 hours, but you aren't going to hurt anything by following up with M26 prior to that time period. Just so you know, you do not need to top M21 with anything else as it is a polymer sealant and therefore a true wax substitute. Although it should be said that the M21/M26 combination is pretty popular.

Michael, I will say that I top M21 with M26 on my show car. It's not a night/day difference as i'm sure you know but the M26 does seem to give a small amount of extra pop and sparkle to the finish.
I'd say for any type of DD vehicle it's not needed but on a show car every little extra edge helps
What am I, fly-paper for morons?

thanks guys, I've no problem in leaving 12hs of cure time, I'm not planning to use the car in the hole weekend hehe...
If I apply the M21 with a finishing polish should I remove the excess with a MF right after?

I sort of notice that most of Meguiar's current waxes give an awesome pop and gloss to the car. #26 liquid, NXT 2.0, and Gold Class give the car a very warm look. It's been a long time since Ive used the DC-3 wax, so I don't remember its appearance. #16 gives a very nice reflective shine that I couldn't get from the NXT 2.0 or M26.

    Re: M205 - M21 and wax

Hello everyone, I finally finished a paint correction on my 20 year old Porsche with M105/M205. I am very happy with the results although was a dog of a job as the paint was really hard and had micro scratches on every panel.

Want my hard work to last so what do I finish the surface with?

Do I first put M26 sealant and then M21 wax? Or M26 only or M21 only? The car is a weekend driver that gets washed regularly with an spirited driving session at the track or AX course.

    Thanks!

You have it reversed. M26 is a waxa d M21 is a sealant. If you choose to layer the. Sealant always goes first. So M21 and then M26.

If you like wax then go with M26. If you want longer protection than go with M21.

    Re: M205 - M21 and wax

Thank you. I got the two mixed up.

In regards to prep for the m21 sealant after the m205 polish, do I need to wash the car to remove any residue and oils from the polish?
