Pictures from Thursday Night Open Garage - October 15th, 2009
It may have rained yesterday, but we didn't do this yesterday - we did it tonight!! A big "thank you" to everyone who came out, helped out, and especially to Joe Fernandez of Superior Shine for spending some time talking to us about detailing, collecting goodie bags for our Troops in Afghanistan, and practicing his stand up act for us! Yep, Joe's a pretty dang funny guy as it turns out!
But hey, we got to work on some fun cars and teach some people how to improve the overall appearance and get rid of some defects. You know it's going to be a good night when a guy like Bob brings in a car like this:
We gave Bob some quick instruction on proper use of the G110 and then let him have some fun!
Mitsu Lancers take over! One EVO and a new RalliArt...
But the poor RalliArt had a foot long scratch on the hood...
A quick shot with some M105 and no more scratch!!
Joe takes some time explaining to us how he developed M105...... or at least helped with it. Then he shared his secret to flawless detailing..... but it's his secret so if you missed tonight's session you'll have to ask him what that secret is!!!
We finished off the night with a 2007 VW Jetta in a beautiful, deep black finish. Except for all the scratches and swirls that is......
This Jetta is going to need a rotary and some M105, but it can still look pretty darn terrific with the right TLC!
