Will this be available in Australia? I see that over here the name is changed to the G220 due to us having a different voltage, but will that be a version 2 also?
So when is the new D/A going to be released? I was hoping to get one as a present but Christmas was like a month ago. Im half tempted to just go with another brand so I can finally get one.
Im starting to think the meguiars DA polisher is sold with in mind that everyone can buy it and make perfect results. Its easy to use, and SAFE to use, still that safety net there.
There are more heavy duty DA machines out there like the cyclo or the Flex top tool.
Will meguiars be making a more kinda proffesional detailer DA machine more for pros than everybody? with lesser safe nets and more power?
I'm not for the idea of spending close to $200.00 on a D/A with a free floating head.
Nope, it's a DA (albeit a pretty darn powerful DA) not a forced rotation tool. Street price is more like $145 at several places, and if you look through the various threads with pictures from our Saturday Classes you'll see a huge variety of vehicles, all with badly swirled and water spotted finishes, that we've corrected using the G110v2 and our 7" Soft Buff 2.0 polishing pads (not the cutting pads) and Ultimate Compound (not M105).
We hear many reports of people not being able to keep a pad rotating on a DA when encountering contoured body panels and, quite frankly, we think most of that is down to improper technique with the tool and/or rushing things too much. Yes, time is money, but with proper technique and the right mix of pad/product its amazing what can be accomplished with a good DA.
