I've already submitted a pre-delivery order. ADS is really on top of things here...

Wow. All I can say is somebody is going to get a very sweet deal on a low mileage G110 v1.

      I WANT A v2!!!!

I don't think the difference is any big deal. I do, however, appreciate the lower speed; especially for a novice DA guy such as myself.

Oops, yes it does state that. Perhaps we should edit that to read "most consistent interval between speed settings". My apologies, but we stand behind the benefit of the consistent spread.

          since DA's have a clutch-like-mechanism in them,
and with this one if you put more pressure on it, it will speed up to keep you at the constant speed,
does that mean this doesnt have a clutch on it thatll help prevent burning the paint or what?
The mechanical bits are essentially the same, but the circuit board essentially controls the power getting to the motor. When it senses the tool beginning to bog down it will send more power, but not necessarily enough to maintain 100% speed. It's not as though it is impossible to bog the tool down, but it's not as easy as it has been in the past. That safety net still needs to be there to make this tool user friendly even for a novice.

            Re: Dual Action Polisher G110v2

Since the internal feedback circuit increases torque when downward pressure is applied, does it not bog down at all (or very hard to)? Have you tried doing it in an effort to see if it will at all?

Edit : Just saw your above post.

              Re: Dual Action Polisher G110v2

But if i for example put this new da on speed setting 4 without no preassure, will it go on slow speed while i put a string of wax on the surface and not going up to full speed until att put preassure on it?

If i have understood this right the speed selector is just the setting for maximum speed. Or is im totally wrong on to this?

When would we see for sure if there will be a G220v2 ??

No, it seems that you have misunderstood. If you put the tool on speed setting 4, for example, it will run at 4800opm as soon as you turn it on. Light pressure, moderate pressure, it will run at 4800opm. With other D/A tools, as you start to apply pressure they begin to slow down, and the G110v2 will as well. The difference here being that as you apply downward pressure and the G110v2 begins to bog, the internal controller will feed in a bit more power. It will NOT completely overcome the downward pressure - at some point you will still be able to bog down the tool, but it will take significantly more pressure to do so now. Make sense?

And yes, there definitely will be a G220v2 sometime in early 2010.

Ohh thanks, now i understand what the cruise controller is. It would be nice to se a video on youtube etc how the new Da works there.

What will be "in the box?" What else will I need to buy at the same time to take it out of the box and start working?

Here's what I thought was a nice package.

                        http://autodetailingsolutions.net/g110-kit-2.html

I ordered one additional finishing pad and also a small #34 for priming the pads. With that, I think you'll be pretty much ready to go.

You get the tool itself, obviously, the handle, tools to install the handle and backing plate, the W68DA backing plate, and the canvas carry bag.

What you will need to supply on your own:
                          • Pads (Soft Buff 2.0 recommended for use with this backing plate).
                          • Compound, paint cleaner, polish and wax of your choosing.
                          • Towels.
                          • A vehicle in need of defect removal.

Dont worry. I'll bet its gonna out in 2010. I was just goofing around because I just bought 2 units of G220 this year.

But, if you can't wait then there's other alternatives for the 220V countries- Festool & Rupesv to name a few.
