    Re: Dual Action Polisher G110v2

Other than having newer features, is it built better than v1?

I remember seeing quite a few breakdown posts with the older version, and I was wondering if Meguiars had found a new production vendor for v2.

For now, I'm sticking with my old reliable G100.

Now this is something I will have to add to my arsenal!

I feel a sale of my old stand-by G100 and my G110 V1 coming on!

v2 is a significant upgrade overall to the tool. The new version has been, and continues to be, used at Mannheim Auctions where they've run in excess of 400 hours apiece without a single issue.

How 'bout a brief "Quick Start Guide" for another newbie with a pre order on file. Any quick tips to get things off and running? I'll be using it mainly for jeweling. I ordered an extra finishing pad and a bottle of #34 for priming. GO GATORS!!!

                Re: Dual Action Polisher G110v2

I had a chance to use the G110v2 briefly at SEMA and I have to say that when I added pressure to it I definitely felt the added power kick in to help from bogging down. The G110v2 felt good in my hands and felt a little weird being that it's slightly longer being that I'm use to the G110. I'm sure we'll love it.

I see that ADS is making a package kit with 6 pads. But, they're 7" pads. Is the v2 that much more powerful than everything else that it can use 7" pads with ease? Or would it be best still to use 5.5" or 6.5" pads?

Our new Soft Buff 2.0 pads are 7" diameter and suitable for use on both D/A and rotary tools. We've used them with great success on the original G110 so the v2 should be even better with them. Size of pad alone doesn't indicate total cut - the foam construction plays a large role, as does the backing plate and face of the pad. Dropping to a smaller pad with a dimpled face will sort of cancel out the effects of the two features - a smaller pad generally increases cut but with a dimpled surface you lose surface area, meaning you lose cut.

Michael, is the G110v2 only for 110 volts? or can it work on 220-240 volts as well or do we have to wait for the G220v2?

Many thanks. If it'll work on 220-240 volts then I might want to get one shipped over here.

Just cut 1 prong off the cord than you only get half the voltage.
