Please help me with some megs products

Ok so in a couple weeks i will make a minidetail of my car (i say minidetail couse I dont have a polish machine) so i will use my arms these are the products that i have for the paint job

Deep Crystal sistem 1 2 and 3

so what should i use ScrathX o DCS 1? or both?

Are there many swirls/scratches on your car?

DC1 is a mild cleaner, and will be fine if you dont have much to fix up.

Anywhere that needs fisex up would want ScratchX.

Then polish and wax.

Do you have clay, or anything like ColorX/Colour Boost available to you?

that is actually a perfect process...but you'll deffinetly need some arm muscle to work those swirls out by hand

thanks man sorry for my english jeje, what could make more difference..use my arm or my turtle wax polisher?? i know its not the best but i dont have any other choice

well anytime you use a machine you will yeild better results, and of course decrease the time it takes to remove the defects

Yes would be great to see the results i can't wait either! I use a smiliar process with my car and it came out a treat. Except i didn't have a machine when i did mine. My arms really hurt but i only did the one application of SwirlX but it really needed a couple more passes. Goodluck mate im looking forward to the finished result!

Personally I'd go with

Wash
Clay
Ultimate Compound (only if needed, otherwise skip)
Swirl-X
DC2 (optional)
DC3 or other wax like NXT 2.0

I'd test on a spot first to see if Swirl-X gets you the results you desire, if not try Ultimate Compound and go with that route. If you go with Ultimate Compound only, it's still a compound and can cause some hazing. Although not nearly as bad as rubbing compound, I'm sure you don't want to waste any time especially working by hand.

Oh sorry just a quick question and sorry if this has been answered before. In your lost post from just above you mentioned about UC may haze? What is this or what is it caused by and if it were to occur which product is best to remove it? I am yet to try the UC yet so i am a little anxious to hear, thanks. Just covering all angles so i am ready!

Any product, not just Ultimate Compound, can potentially haze paint. It all depends on an awful lot of variables - how hard or soft the paint is, how aggressively the product is worked (machine speed, pressure, etc), which pad is used, how long the product is worked, etc. You might find that Ultimate Compound (or any other product you care to name) works beautifully on the first 30 cars you touch with it and then all of a sudden you find a car that doesn't seem to like it. Or anything else for that matter.

Anyone who has been detailing long enough can remember back to that one car, that uncooperative little bugger than just seemed to laugh at anything you threw at it. A certain 1981 Ferrari 512BBi comes to mind - original single stage black paint that didn't even look right (not even close, actually) after hand applying M07 Show Car Glaze. Talk about a head scratcher!!!

In most cases, however, you should find Ultimate Compound actually help to give more clarity to a finish, and this is due to the SMAT technology of the abrasives used in it. This abrasives technology is borrowed from M105 and M205 in our Mirror Glaze Pro Line - both very highly regarded products.

But, should you come across a situation where your product of choice leaves the paint looking a bit dull and hazy after it pulls out all the swirls or other defects, you will need to follow with another step. That step may be the same liquid on a less aggressive pad (step down to a finishing pad from a polishing pad) or you may need to use a different liquid. Stepping down to something less aggressive like SwirlX or M205 and working it at a lower speed with a finishing pad can do wonders toward adding clarity to a finish. But in some cases, the paint will actually react better to one of these liquids/finishing pad combos at a higher speed.

Nothing is set in stone when it comes to polishing paint. There is no "use liquid A on pad 1 at speed X and follow with liquid B on pad 2 at speed Y for perfect results every time". Guidelines, yes. Common starting points, yes. But a guarantee that all paint will respond the same to a given input? Not even close. But that's the challenge here - and the source of great satisfaction when you show a finicky paint who's boss.

I use my cheap machine and UC and the results are WOOW!! my car seems to be other!! now i can see the reflections in my paint while im driving in my rearview mirror, the 95% of the paint is swirl free!! THANKS MEGUIARS....
