Would this new version be less prone to haze the paint, provided all factors equal? Will this potentially finish of with a more crystal clear, rotary like final finish on black paint in comparison to the old model with less spinning power?

In a word, no. Any hazing of paint you may be getting is going to be due to product and pad choice for a given paint system. With ANY D/A polisher you will be able to adjust speed and pressure in an infinitely variable way, so how you use the tool and select products is going to be the deciding factor in your final result. We've seen plenty of non metallic black cars that have been beautifully finished with a D/A polisher, but certainly are those who feel the very finest finish is only possible with a rotary.

What you should be able to achieve with the G110v2 that you might have struggled with in the past is the correction of heavy defects, or defects on very hard paint. There's more power, and more consistent power here, but the oscillating action is still the same, and that is a big part of what differentiates this type of tool from a rotary.

It should also be noted that paint hardness will play a role in D/A hazing, if it occurs. A pad/product combination that performs well on one paint system may not leave another paint system looking as good. Paint itself is a huge variable here.

                  Thanks Mike,

Yeah I've actually found a solution to paint that won't finish off well with a DA, It takes a couple hours extra work though. When you are finished correcting the paint with the DA and you have it as refined as the DA will go, you go over the whole car by hand and foam applicator pad with Swirl-X or equivalent, M205 works well too and I imagine Color-X probably would too. In my experience you get the best of both worlds, a rotary glass like finish, and a hologram free DA like finish.

Joe, are you still interested in doing this? If yes I might have some time off between 02/12-20 and perfect "victim" (hammered black car).

Is the G110and the G110 v2 the same machine? if not, what is the difference?

I did not get days off I am owed so this will have to wait little longer.

                              Sorry.

How does the G110v2 compare to the Flex 3401?
