Specifically what section were you trying to post to? Obviously your account is active or you wouldn't have been able to post here so it may be that you were trying to post in a moderators only area or something.

Can you email me what you were trying to post? Were you signed in? When you sign in make sure you click the box next to your name in the top right hand corner that says remember me. Sometimes when going back and forth between pages you inadvertantly can sign yourself out.

I thought up until a certain number of posts, a mod has to approve any images that are going to be posted?

The forum is set up so that before a new member can post an image or a link they must have over a certain number of posts. This prevents Spammers and "Hit & Run" members joining just to post a few thread promoting themselves or their cause.

If a member is joining to be a serious contributor to the forum they'll soon pass the number of needed posts by demonstrating their true intent simply by posting non-promotional threads.

Can you find the thread for us? If all you were trying to do was follow a link then that is something entirely different. Seems we all thought you were trying to post something yourself, not just follow a link.
