    Rep power gone wild?

Is it my imagination or did the rep points for many of us skyrocket over the past week? I think mine jumped a 1,500 points for no reason I can figure out. Mine were inflated to begin with, but now they're ridiculous. Something wrong with the software?

I've no idea what you're talking about. I clearly have little reputation

Hmmm, must be very discriminating and discerning software.

It has gotten a little out of hand. Maybe its time to turn it off?

Yes it seems the rep points for some people have gone off the charts!

Maybe after we give me over 9,000 reputation, then we can turn it off.

Yup I noticed that as well. But personally I don't put much weight on it anyway.

    Agreed.

To me a persons rep is formed by the content of their previous posts, not the number of green dots they have received. I don't have a problem with the rep point system, but I don't use them to base my opinion of a person off of.

I completely agree. I don't base my view of how reputable someone is based on how many times they posted in The Answer and Ask Game

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    Remove swirls my friends.

Yeah, it is insane how much some people have, and so little others have. I'd say it's time to turn it off. On some sites it is an accurate way of determining the "veteran" or experienced users, but I don't that is completely the case on MOL.
