According to box Malaysia. Probably where all others are made.

For those who aren't familiar with the Hitachi rotary, it's quite powerful (11 amp motor vs 8 amp for the DeWalt 849 and 10 amp for the Makita 9227) and very light weight (6.4lbs vs 8.5lbs and up for the competition). It is also extremely quiet.

          Nice tool all around.

Mike, thank you for pitching in the info for me, it's obvious I am not much of a sales guy because whenever I post item for sale I forget not everybody is familiar with what is offered

... and for those that wonder why I have never used such a fine rotary and am selling it instead: I have two

If I had the cash I'd snatch it up.

Somebody really needs to grab this tool.

                      Some people collect stamps...

I have 4 polishers (2 DA's, 2 rotaries), otherwise I would find this Hitachi really tempting.

                      Best of luck!

As of now this rotary is not for sale anymore. Instead it will be donated toward a good cause. Whenever I see work Superior Shine Joe contributes to good causes, like recently polishing plane for non-profit that helps save human lives, I am humbled and wish to contribute. Not being in position to contribute in same manner he does I hope I will still somehow help by contributing tool.

Joe, please consider this rotary "yours". I will be contacting you to arrange for delivery. I hope to be in Covina area this Thursday or weekend.
