  • G110 power problems.

Over the weekend while working on my truck my G110 died on me a few times, a love tap a few times and it fired right back up. I don't wrap my cord all the way so there is no stress on the cord going into the G110, but it had me worried. Any suggestions?

    Hi Zuke,

Sounds like the brushes are coming to the end of their life. If you keep having problems, I would consult the Customer Service Line at 800 347 8700.

These are two other threads about issues with the G100.

    Hope this helps!

Meguiar's customer care should be notified. They will tell you the appropriate steps to take.

Ok well it ran fine after it stopped so I guess I will wait and see. Is it that normal to have it die on me this fast? I don't think i've even logged and hour on it..

My first G110, lasted about 5-6 hours and then it just died. The replacement so far is going great.(knock on wood) lol.

            Re: G110 power problems.

The exact same thing happened to mine just before New Year. It too had only done 5-6 hours work.

Luckily Meguiars Australia replaced it with a new one - no questions asked.

Does anyone know if the brushes are replaceable or servicable, say for an older unit that is already out of warranty?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
