  • Wetsanding 8 month old clear-coat

I'm going to be colorsanding and buffing clearcoat that has been on the car for about 8 months (PPG Paint and Clear). The car is past the typical 3 month period to wax the car. However, when I start wetsanding, will it restart the curing period because I begin releasing solvents when I remove the top layer of clear? Basically, after wetsanding and buffing this clear, can I wax?

i would think so, the paint hardens as a whole, not just a top layer
