  • Noob Looking For Detailing Training/Classes

I really hate coming across as a (the) noobie (but if the shoe fits), does anyone know of classes/training offered for detailing and when/where they may be? I tried a search here, but found nothing for anything upcoming.
Appreciate any info and I am more than willing to take the "ridicule" and "noob punches"! Thanks all.

You won't find much ridicule or punches on MOL. It's not allowed and the folks here are more focused on being helpful and offering advice anyway. One of the few forums anywhere where the entire member community sticks to that premise with minimal moderator intervention.

Are you talking about training classes local to Glendale or would you be willing to travel to, oh say, Irvine CA for some free classes?

    BTW, what year GTO?

Thanks CC for the reply. I really didn't think anyone would hammer on me for the questions. Thanks for the reassurance though.

I would be willing to travel to attend classes and Irvine would be great as I have my oldest son attending UC Irvine so it would make it for an overall great trip. Looking at the dates, Saturday, April 24th would be the soonest I would be able to make. I will review all and see what I can do. Thanks again CC...appreciate the return.

My first car in high school was a navy blue, 1967 GTO hardtop.

Yeah, most of us would kill to get near Irvine for those classes....

In addition though, the "How to Get a Show Car Shine with a PC" DVD is also excellent, either before, or as a follow up to the classes, or as the best you can do instead.

Thanks Murr...I have already ordered the DVD. It should be here later this week.

Hey Don, come on down (as they say on TV)! Heck, we're practically across the freeway from UCI and even have a few UCI students as regulars at out Thursday Night Open Garage sessions.
