  • 07 harley. need help with pewter denim paint

    hey guys new to this site but been useing meguiar's for years on my old bikes etc. so here's the deal all my other bikes had clear coat finishes just bought a new one that has a dull luster type finish does'nt really have any kind of real coating. harley calls it a denim finish. just wondering if the meg's cleaner wax would be ok or not. any info would be GREATLY appr. thanks

    If it is a matte finish, any wax would add gloss, at least till the wax wore off.

      All I can suggest is to try test spot in a inconspicuous area.
      quality creates its own demand

        it is a matte finish, so i guess wax will work and i'll try a test area thanks guys

          use a spray on wax, or spray on detailer that has protective properties, that way you minimize the fraction that will eventually "buff up" the paint
          I want 4" Softbuff pads!

            DO NOT WAX IT!
            Use Pledge furniture polish.
