  • Pricing for Amatures

    Hey everyone.

I have done a basic Google Search and looked on here.

At this point I am not doing anything on a commercial level, it is as a hobby but I want to price my meterials and some extra for either more tools or different chemicals and basically my time.

Looking for a basic pricing Guideline for...

    Washing- by hand, dry
Interior Detail- seats, spot cleans, carpet, dash/consol.
    Exterior Sealant, Wax, Buff
    Wheels
    Jambs

I know there is different levels and "packages".

Any insight or opinion is appreciated.

At this time I do not have any specific tools for paint correction or swirl removal. If I do it, its by hand and honestly I do beleive in trying so some of this $$$ is to go towards a DA or Rotary.

Dont buy a rotaty unless you have someone thats gonna teach how to correctly use it. Go for a G110, G110V2 or PC7424XP to start.

I live in DR and people really dont know what is detaling about but usually i charge arround $7 for this:

    Interior: de-dusted, vacuum
Exterior: Wash (2 buckets method), tires and wheels wells and rims cleaned, jambs.
Tires: Dressed with NXT insane shine or Endurage gel.

I know its low but thats all i can charge people here in DR otherwise they would just go to a carwash.

    Good luck man.

Target your mind for a DA.

          Maybe not.

I've seen ads on craigslist with people advertising $10 to come to your house and wash your car (if you provide the water).

It must be some kid riding his bicycle.

I suggest looking elsewhere. People do pay a lot more for a basic wash, you just have to find the right people for it

I have been practicing with other people's equipment. But its time to get my own. Lets just say when it does come time, there will be plenty of hours under the belt.

I was speaking to a few people and what I figured out is that for.....

                Wash
                Clay
                Wheels (side wall, rim, dressing)
                Sealant
                Wax
Interior ( vac, wipe down, spot clean, windows, jambs, leather treatment if applic)

For a a regular customer, Passanger Car was 100-120$
For a friend it could be between 60-80$
