  • What's the difference between Color X and Cleaner wax A12?

Does anyone know the differences between between color x and cleaner wax A12? I was just trying to decide on which one for a quick detail in between a full detail. I would also use nxt 2.0 as LSP. Any info would be appreciated!

ColorX is a little stronger. I'd go ColorX.

Colorx is the more powerful cleaner wax and I use it to work on my parents' cars as they are only daily drivers. I usually follow that up by either Gold Class Plus Carnaba or NXT 2.0.

I will use A12 Cleaner Wax on my car sometimes followed by Gold Class Plus Carnauba or NXT 2.0. I only use Colorx on my car about once a year. I also do a full swirl removal once a year.

Also, I am not sure if this is true but I think Colorx has a little more longevity than A12 Cleaner Wax (if they are under similar circumstances of course).

A12 will last longer than ColorX.

My understanding is ColorX has cleaners, wax, and polishes in it while regular cleaner wax only has cleaners and wax. So ColorX brings out more of the depth of dark colored paints. So I would use ColorX in situations where you want the effect of a polish.

            A12 cleans, polishes and protects.

Thanks, Nick, the descriptions continue to confuse me!

Yeah, polishing oils get left out, but many products have some hiding in there.

I like using A-12 a lot. Another underrated product.

                    It certainly is.

I just used it on the roof and wheels of a Ford Expedition today.
