This weekend, I decided to fully detail my car. After washing, I applied one coat of Swirl X on the hood (by hand). Still had swirls. I applied a second coat with my cheap-o Walmart buffer, and still had swirls. I followed with a paint sealant, and Gold Class wax. I just gave up with removing the swirls. Honestly, I haven't been this disappointed with a product in quite some time. So, rather than condemn the product as horrible, I thought I'd ask if I've done anything wrong.

Re: Swirl X not working
How vigorously you work the product and how hard the paint is will ultimately determine your outcome. An inexpensive buffer like the one you used just doesn't have the power to correct defects on harder paint and you can usually get better results by hand.
But you really do need some elbow grease to correct defects when using any paint cleaner. As mentioned, it's not a wipe on, wipe off process with any product.Michael Stoops
