    Natural Shine vs Ultimate Protectant?

    I bought the new natural shine spray bottle with scotchguard. Used it twice for the interior and smells nice. Tried it on the outside trim for the first time yesterday didn't look like it would last/hold up long.

    Now I check the forums and read the Ultimate protectant reviews and amazed on the before and after pics I've been seeing.

    What's the difference between the two?

    Wondering if I'm regretting my natural shine purchase.

    The UP will last longer on the exterior. UP is not a real high gloss either.

      Both products are water based vinyl & plastic dressings, but UP contains some very specialized polymers that actually bond to the surface much like wax bonds to paint. While both are suitable for interior and exterior use, Natural Shine will struggle to hold on when it gets really wet such as when it rains or the vehicle is washed. This tends to be true of almost any water based dressing, which is why UP is so unique.

        Okay thanks for clarifying the differences I got natural shine while it was on sale so I'll use it up and I'll try out UP next time.

        Too bad the rebate will have expired by then.

          The UP is only $10. Why wait? They both serve a purpose. I love UP on the exterior of the vehicle due to the fact it is dry to the touch and its durability. I use Natural Shine on interior trim when I don't feel like using Hyper Dressing.

            I'd disagree with this. Here's an '03 F-250 with UP. Looks pretty glossy to me. I wouldn't want it shinier.

              Depends on the type of trim.

              Ford F-250s will look glossy when dressed with anything.

                I agree with Tuck... I've just used UP in a 2010 Mazda3, and it was really matte finish... I really liked UP

                  Natural Shine is still good to have. I like having a variety of dressings because of their ease of use and applications.

                  For UP I don't like using it if I can't clean the surface first. For the inside of my car, it can be a pain taking out the APC to scrub down the area before applying UP. I'd rather just spray on a layer of Natural Shine and call it good.

                  I do intend to scrub my exterior trim with M39 though and then apply some UP.
