By ultimate are yout talking about M105 or the actual ultimate compound? I get so confused with meguiars products because there are so many out on the market. I just try to stick with the mirror glaze line to make it more easier.

Nope, we flat out said Ultimate Compound, not M105. We know it can be confusing (heck, we refer to our product display in our training room as the "wall of confusion"!!!) but you have to be the first person to say the Mirror Glaze line is actually less confusing for you!! That normally puts people's heads into a real spin cycle!

You'll find that in the vast majority of cases when dealing with pretty basic swirl removal, Ultimate Compound is much more user friendly on a DA buffer than M105 is, and still cuts amazingly well.

On the other hand, Mirror Glaze line of compound/polish bottle has a scale from 1 to 10 indicates the relative level of cut. This really help to differentiate among Mirror Glaze line of products. On www.meguiars.com, I found those product benefits icons helpful. Hopefully Meguiars put them onto the product bottle just like the cut level indicator on Mirror Glaze line. My 2 cents. Thanks.

Yes, that is correct. Remember though - only the wax should be allowed to dry on the surface before wiping off.

In many cases, yes, you can go straight from UC to wax. Only if you feel the desire for additional gloss, or if you find any level of haze from the UC (usually only with very delicate paint) would there be any real need to use the polish step.

I didn't make this post to be negative in any way. Right now I just quit using products from a company where I spent over $5,000 on everything they had for sale. But the reason I stopped with their products were due to their video's. As in this video, it shows buffing the car. However if you look at the entire hood, from where I'm sitting, it looks like a totally perfect detail job. Then at the bottom you show your "half and half" section. I didn't see any "tape" laid across the hood of the car during the buffing process so how can that be. To show I am not trying to be negative, I am attempting to find the BEST Mequiar's products to use on my wife's black mercedes and my new silver Ram Diesel truck. Narrowed all of my searching right to your products.
