When applying Deep Crystal Polish by hand, does DC2 need to stay on until completely dry like wax using the swipe test or just wipe on and wipe off before it is dried?

Nope, just rub it in, apply to 1/4 or 1/2 a panel, and remove.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue -

Apply the product and then remove it. You do not need to let it dry.
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.

Apply to a portion of a panel (1/4 of hood, 1/2 of door), work in thoroughly (so that there is almost no product visible) and wipe off residue.
