    Pictures from September 11th, 2010

Just another great, great class all around. We love your enthusiasm and passion - it really makes teaching these classes a lot of fun and very rewarding.

Once again, we had Corvettes out in full force.

    How low can you go???

We also had swirls, cobwebs and water spots in full force!

This 2009 C Class Mercedes became our test demo for the day. Ouch!

But first, some time in the classroom going over some basics and theory before it all to the test!

After lunch we headed to the garage or, in Mike Palero's case, Twitter.

Just a couple of years ago it was common that in a class of 30 students only a couple had ever used clay. Lately though, the tide has completely reversed and at this class only 2 or 3 students had never used it.

We did our usual process of sectioning off the hood to demonstrate hand application and D/A application of a paint cleaner, pure polish and wax. Since the amount of swirls and water spots was so severe here, we went straight for Ultimate Compound.

After following with Deep Crystal Polish we applied a thin coat of NXT Tech Wax 2.0.

We then moved to the machine side, using the same products, but discussing proper technique with the G110v2.

Are they struggling to see the difference after doing our test spots?

Nope, no struggling to see the difference here..... it's night and day!!

Then it was back into the garage for some hands on experience for those who wanted it. Pressure and speed are important for defect correction, so here we're making sure both are done correctly.

Now he's got the hang of it!

Oh that's Vince, just a "oh I could have had a V8" moment. He did have a good time at the class.

I kinda figured as much. I would have the same luck as Vince I'm sure. Take my pic at an unannouced moment and I would probally be pickin my nose or scratching my butt

Mike - Thanks for all of the great car care information. I will now be washing and waxing my Corvette differently. Thank you for the fantastic hospitality and some excellent products.

Looks like a great class Mike! Do you think that taking a video is feasible so that we can learn proper arm speed and pressure techniques when using the g110v2? Thnx!

Marc, take a look at Meguiar's Quik Tips Video Series - Removing Swirls for some tips on that.
