Although I've never tried NXT, I will speak for GC. I use to use it on my car before I painted it and switched to ONR, and quite frankly, I'll more then likely switch back to GC. My car is now dark burgundy pearl and when wet, it looks great. ONR doesn't give me the look that GC gave me when I got done washing the car and I honestly don't feel as if it leaves the car thoroughly. All in all, I just feel more comfortable with GC.

jsut curious for those who say the "cleaning power" is better for NXT ... please describe a soaps cleaning power compared to the other.

Nxt, leaves less water spots (I have really bad city water) and the rubber/plastics look good afterward. I used a bottle of the crystal carwash a couple years ago and it left all the plastic trim a dull gray. Never used it again. Gold class wash never seemed like anything special to me.

i just used gold on a brand new scion tc that has dark charcoal paint and i was shocked to see that the car wash darkened it a shade. this is a brand new car and i didn't think the car wash could make a difference. was i wrong. i won't use anything else now.

Tough call. I'd say they're equal in that respect, maybe with the edge going to GC.

But they're both mild on waxes / sealants.

Which of the shampoos would you say is the mildest on wax/sealer?
Gold Class, NXT or UW&W?

Can't go wrong with either one. They will not strip wax if that is what you are worried about. Waxes and sealants will degrade with each wash and generally degrade over time. NXT is not offered in the states. UW&W will leave a wax behind that will give that freshly waxed look.

Welcome to Meguiar's Online. NXT Car Wash (G128) is no longer sold in the US. It is produced for International Markets. Regarding Gold Class vs. NXT Car Wash, they are both great products, it's a matter of preference. Both are pH balanced, designed to preserve wax protection. Main difference is Gold Class is going to have a more conditioning & lubricity type feel.
