    Black Porsche meet #205

nothing special in the title , but the condition of the vehicle call compound and 2+ steps for correction , surprise... 1 step 205 did it! the car has original paint.
mission: get the paint to a better shape
i will go over the paint process:
after claybar , a test spot was done to see who`s the winner.
for my surprise DA with hex polish pad and #205 did the magic. the paint was ipa wipe down and 2 coats of duragloss105 with DA.
on the front and rear bumper the defects was worse so i step to Flex da and same pad and polish.
the car is not defect free but way better than what i start with, and for only 1 step on black is just great.
Total time 7 hours, interior included and the leather seats was clean with brush and cleaner conditioner. no shampoo or engine detail.

test spot , so i have an idea what should i use for correction

Great job! M205 is a great product especially when used with good technique.

i think the result was influence a lot by the temperature , the car was done around 75-80F , and i got more passes than usually when i work into 100+ F outside. i prime the pad everytime i clean the pad.
i use 3 pads in this project.
205 didn`t dry that fast , a nice product to work with ,i just order a gallon.

Great work and thanks for sharing! The black paint on that 997 Cab really pops after what you did!

Those swirls looked really bad to start with, and yet you began your testing with M205 rather than just jumping in with M105. That should be a great lesson to everyone who reads this - we wouldn't be surprised to see that M105 would have hazed this paint very badly, yet so many people just automatically reach for it when they see that level of defect.

Test spots are so important, and this shows why.

So, Micheal, I have both SwirlX and M205. Also, I have the yellow and black pads. My black paint has very light swirls, which combination should I try first. I mean, which combo would be the LEAST aggressive? Thanks!
