  • New to the forum!

Hello all! My name is Jake and I am owner of Auto Detailing By Jake in St. Joesph, MI.

I use Meguiar's products exclusively. I have used the Mirror Glaze products for all of my cleaning and polishing. I am going to be ordering some of the Detailer Line products in the near future... so, I jumped on here to find out a little more about them.

    Cheers!
    -Jake

      Thanks, Smack...

BMW Club, eh? I've owned 8 BMWs over the years... LOVE them. My last BMW was a 2002 M5.

      Great cars!

Easily one of the best cars I've ever owned. It was the perfect mix of sports car and luxury car, in my opinion. Think of it like a Corporate Jet.

I also had a (quite rare) 2002 Z3 M Roadster. I wish I would have kept that car too. But, I didn't like it as much as the 5 series' I've owned. It was just too small.

The old Z3's were indeed quite small. One day I hope to own a new M5. That is my dream car. Just like you said, perfect mix of sports and luxury.

                  I currently have a 07 335i sedan and 11 328i touring.

The 3 series has always been a great car. I've owned several E30's and E36's. They were pure drivers cars.... The newer BMWs, unfortunately, are not as much so these days. Don't get me wrong, with all the new tech and manumatic gearboxes, they are a pinnacle of engineering! But, I find myself longing of the old days when BMW gave you "just enough" of all that tech and gadgetry.... That 335i has to be a BLAST to drive with the new turbo motor! I've not had a chance to put one through it's paces yet.

Thanks everyone! It's good to be here.... I've used Meguiar's stuff all my life, but I am learning a lot on this site already!

I was stationed in Germany and had a e30 325i factory M-technik 2. Man was that car a blast to drive. It was never imported outside of europe though. But what a car it was. The title said 175 horse but it had to be more than that. It was diamond schwarz metallic, coupe, 5 speed, oem bbs wheels, oem recaro seats, and 3:73 lsd. What a hoot! No power steering to make the steering feel artificial.

This new turbo motor is outragious. The instant torque is intoxicating.

Yes, that new engine is pretty phenomenal, so I'm told. I'm just glad they stuck with the Inline 6 design and didn't go the way of the Dodo with a V6. The instant and flat tq curve of a I-6 is one of the reasons the BMW is so great to drive!

There are rumors of BMW thinking of using a V6 in future models. I hope they stick to their roots with an I6. A lot of purists will be disapointed if a V6 makes it to production.

A lot of folks thought putting a V8 in the M3 was sacrilege! LOL
