  • Marine product question

Would there be any need for a polish such as #45 if your going to be using the Flagship Premium wax?

I see it has some light cleaners and polishing oils as well as wax, so wondering if #45 would even be necessary?

Also, what would you recommend as a gel coat cleaner for stripping any old wax or contaminants prior to waxing?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Marine product question

We always consider the polish step to be an optional one, but gel coat is a very porous finish and it loves pure polish. If the finish is in rough shape then an application of 45 can dramatically brighten it up. If you're just looking to keep a new finish looking new, regular application of 45 with a nice coat of wax over it will help prevent the gel coat from drying out and oxidizing.
