  • New to the detailing world

i have a 1998 red ford escort that is beat to hell with deep scratches and swirls marks all over the car.....i work for kmart and purchased some turtle wax rubbing and polshing compound, do get mad at me for that, it was cheap and on sale, and i got my employee discount, the car is my daily driver and really didnt expect perfection, just something a little better, but i have to say all i did was make it worse...I did some where around 2 hours just to destroy half of the hood, i thought it looked good but when i went to the gas station and the light hit the hood a certain way i was like holy sh** what did i do. On another forum someone recommended Ultimate Compound, so i said to myself what the heck i cant make it worse, so i bought some and it took me 5 minutes to fix what i did in 2 hours with that garbage Turtle Wax, oh i forgot to mention all by hand to power tools at all.....That has got to be the best product ever made to make a car look good

Good job with getting Ultimate Compound involved in your project. That stuff is really good and sometimes life (paint) saving. Meguiar's is simply the best.
