How long before wax is fully cured?

Waxed my entire car. Went back to my apartment. Hour later, sprinkler comes on. I find my car all wet. Great.

Would I need to rewax my car? Or is the wax already protecting my car?

Well, you have 2 things going on.

The wax will be fine, it cures most of the way quickly.

But sprinklers often have very hard water, and that is strong enough to get through a wax, cured or not.

Have you been hit with the sprinklers before? Do you know if it damages your paint? If so, you may want to do a little QDing...
