APC to preclean windshield

Having just gone thru another love bug season here in Florida, I found that Detailer's Glass Cleaner wouldn't always remove all the bug residue. Now I preclean with APC and then use the Glass Cleaner with a cloth diaper for the final buffing. Works great with no streaks.

That's true if I'm washing the car, but if all I want to do is clean the windshield and not get the car wet, I'm just saying a glass cleaner alone doesn't always work on baked on love bugs.

The secret is to get to them as soon as possible. They are a lot easier to remove while they are still fresh.

Thanks for the tip. I try to get them while they are fresh but thats not always practical.

Very true. What I mean is the same day. This way they still come off relatively easy.

Lol the same day in Florida and you will accumulate more bugs then most folks do in a year if its bug season they run thick down there

I was just going to post something on this; however, I use APC to pre-clean the inside of the glass if very dirty. It works great to cut film and grease. Follow up with regular glass cleaner and you should have streak-free glass.
