    Re: Wheel Polishing Kit

    dc2 - see below:

can i use quik detailer on them no matter what they are? Yes, of course.

i do not know how do i determine if the lip is bare or clearcoated and also about the spokes One way is to try polishing the lip. If your cloth or pad goes black, that means there is metal being transferred onto it and thus the lip is bare metal with no clearcoat. If the lip is clearcoated, you'll see no colour transfer onto your cloth/pad.

can u use lightcleaner n wax on the spokes? Yes, of course.

    I hope that helps

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

        No problem.

You could even try with a paint cleaner type polish e.g. SwirlX, M205 etc. The same rules as above would apply...

Can I use the Mag & Aluminum Polish with the cone for non-coated aluminum wheels? Or will the All Metal Polish work fine?

I used this kit on my Pacer 164 polished aluminum wheels and LOVED it. I love the arbor on the shaft, so easy to control. The foam is super durable (Powerball spits foam fingers at me) The shape of the cone is perfect, not too big or too small and it really puts a shine on the wheels. I did find that it did haze a little, but nothing a quicky with a microfiber applicator and more polish wont take care of. here are the pics of the truck adter polishing:

NOOOOOO, chrome polish should not be used on aluminum. get the Hot Rims aluminum polish, good stuff

                    Re: Wheel Polishing Kit

I have a question regarding the kit being able to remove oxidation from wheels. I'm working on my dad's latest "buy and flip" and the wheels really need some TLC. It's a 95 Chevy step-side.

Would this be durable for polished aluminum diamond plating? I have the mothers power all and it works great but being as big as it is, it can be a bit of a hassle when getting into hard to reach spots.

If the wheels are bare, polished metal then the answer is yes. If the wheels are painted or clear coated and the paint is oxidized or the clear is failing, then no.

It should do quite well on diamond plating. Depending on how sharp the edges of the "diamonds" are you may or may not see some fine cutting of the foam, but as others have mentioned it is extremely durable.
