Yes, same product. The scent change addresses a general consensus in the pro industry regarding strongly scented products.

        Thanks for the response Micheal.

I suppose I can mix in a little UQW into the Synthetic X-press Spray wax to get a bit of the scent. I can understand the pro industry not needing the "fancy" stuff that some of us consumers enjoy.

It still has a GREAT orange peal scent! Even the full timers enjoy something other than chemical scents.

            Hey Michael,

Do you think it is safe to ship a gallon of the Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax this time of year? I'm in PA and it has not been above freezing during the day in a few weeks now. I would like to get a gallon of this asap, but I don't want to risk ruining an entire gallon if the possibility of freezing temperatures could affect the product.

            Thank you.

It all depends on how quickly it gets from a warehouse to your house. If you buy from MeguiarsDirect.com it will ship from Connecticut so transit time shouldn't be all that long. But if it's seriously cold and the delivery company leaves it outside overnight that could be enough to do it in. Do you have a pro products retailer near you that might be able to get in for you locally?

I do, but I called them a few weeks ago and they told me their distributor did not have it listed in their system.

This is a tough product to locate locally. I just now called 3 other local pro product retailers and none of them have it listed in their system. One of the retailers even called his distributor and they do not have it listed in their system either.

I have only been able to locate it online.

Yeah, my guy that delivers most of my Meguiar's products came by today. He was checking out my storage shelf and said, "Hey, what's this?" Needless to say, he hadn't heard anything about it.

Wait for Michael's reply, but I ordered mine from http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/meguiars.html and was impressed with the packaging. Not only was it wrapped and taped with bubble wrap, but the box was full of styrofoam popcorn which I'm sure provided good insulation. Call them and ask. I'm sure they ship this time of year.

If the package is well insulated, and plenty of styrofoam peanuts may be enough, and you time your order to avoid having a weekend in the middle of shipping, then you might get away with it.

just got mine today for Christmas from ME to ME !!
I use UQW for every wash I do for clients as I was using Final Touch and it would leave a streak free finish but figured why not use UQW as my "final touch product" I went through a $10 bottle in about 15-20 cars! so ifigured I used about 50cents of product so WHY NOT ...
So here are some really rookie questions but I want to ask ....

Has anyone tried misting it on a wet car while drying?

Can you use to much product? or does it wipe off effortlessly? I love UQW bottle as the mist is very fine but all the Megs reg duty bottle spray out a lot more product per trigger pull ...

has anyone tried apply and wiping it off per panel and had good results or is most everyone applying around the whole car and then coming back and wiping a minute or three later?

This product is quite versatile and I have tried using it in all three ways you described. It works great in all instances, you might just need to alter your technique a little...

The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
