    Re: Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax

I tried this method out on my wash/maintenence details this week.

After the complete vehicle is washed, rinsed, and still wet I spray the Syn X-Press on all painted surfaces and let it dwell.

Then I rinse off the vehicle again, flood with water, and finally dry with Water Magnets.

Seems to still leave protection on the surface and the surface is much slicker.

I used it in a similar fashion also a few times, but without the second rinse. I washed and rinsed (flood rinse) my truck and then misted the Synthetic X-press Spray Wax onto the still wet truck and then proceeded to dry it off with my water magnets. It even seemed to make the drying process slightly easier in absorbing the water and leaving a nicer finish than if I would have dried the vehicle without the spray wax. It left a nice slick and bright finish by combining the two steps.

I find spray waxes make my WWs become hydrophobic after they dry. How do your go with Xpress?

Well, I have only done the spray wax method of drying twice on my truck so far, but I have not noticed any ill effects from it yet. I can see where there could be a potential for them to become hydrophobic, though. Have you tried washing them in the washing machine after?

I always wash them in the washing machine, but generally after they've dried, as I wait to get enough MF to do a load.

Bump on this thread...anyone know when the new detailer line bottles (syn x-wax and QID) will be in? I'm holding out to make a single purchase and get everything I need....ok, everything I want

I just put it in the consumer bottles.

I used this product last weekend. I applied the wax from a sprayer on a foam pad and then I applied to the body surface. I used for buffing, Meguiars Supreme Shine. I am delighted the car looks after protective treatment.

Our colleagues from Meguiars Romania witnessed the entire operation

Cristi, your results look great but I can't believe how much wax you applied before buffing off! That coat is very thick, especially for a spray wax.

In fact, I can't even believe that Synthetic Xpress would even go on that thick! Usually you can hardly see it - and it virtually disappears with a single stroke of the buffing cloth.

Are you sure it was Synthetic Xpress that you used? It looks more like a thick application of a traditional wax. ...Unless the formulation for Synthetic Xpress is different over there in Europe?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Our thoughts exactly - we can't imagine how it's possible to put that much spray wax on the finish, even if you spray it onto an applicator first. But, yes, the end result looks really good!! Cristi, was that hazed wax hard to remove at all?

Nope, it's exactly the same stuff you get here in the States. How much the same? There is ONE formula and it's ALL made in the same place - the central USA. Heck, Cristi could theoretically have a bottle from the same batch code as you have!

I applied so much happened ... I did it just to be able to see the pictures that I did, and those present at the demonstration who are new in this area(detailing) can see the best application technique. although we applied four times more product than needed, buffing was not very difficult ...

I'm glad that's not your normal application quantity.

So it was a case of "this is NOT how you do it" ?

Can I mix X press wax with last touch for a good detailer?? Has any one done that

Well, as you probably know, Xpress Wax is a quick wax, whereas LT is a quick detailer, so I'd be aprehensive about mixing the two.

...But who knows? It may work well - try it and let us know!
