I read somewhere that he mixed Duragloss spray wax with its QD (or WW) and was satisfied with its result. Maybe it will work with Megs.

I have mixed Duragloss AW with No rinse and it works pretty good. I am just wondering how the X press will mix due to its hydrophobic tendancies. I have a haard time spending 9 buchks on a bottle of ultimate detailer even though it is the best. I detal my two cars at leat once a week. Hence the no rinse mixed as a detailer. It ends up at $1.5 a half gallon

If cost is the issue, have you thought about buying M135 by the gallon? It is the equivalent of UQD...

I have thought of that but my current instant detailer is about $4 a gallon (3 oz ONR and 3 oz spray wax in 1/ gallon of water). I use about a gallon a month. With the UQD bottle you defineatly use less than with the 1/2 gallon garden sprayer that I use. I detail my two Beamers about twice a week. It takes me less than ten minutes a car and I wash the cars about once every two weeks. Washing takes 1/2 hour.

Hey Mike or anyone from the Meguiar's team, I have a question... I was running a little bit low on UQW and I wanted to try out the new synthetic x-press spray wax right away. I thought that they are exactly the same so I poured my x-press spray wax in the bottle of UQW (with about 20% left). I noticed that the smell between the two are different. Would mixing these adversely affect the performance?

Same product, different packaging (obviously) and different aroma, but otherwise the exact same product. No worries mixing the two.

Kind of a citrus smell, maybe a bit of pineapple too. Pleasant aroma. Not too strong.

I can't say for sure as I usually apply it after every wash or QD. I'd suspect it will last for several weeks though. Since it is so easy to apply, I don't really care how long it lasts.

The thing that I likes this. You probably observed that a freshly waxed car sheds dirt easily. It only takes 10-15 minutes to do apply this product on a car or SUV. This leaves the paint nice and slick so it sheds dirt easily. Hence, I spend less time and effort washing and cleaning my car.

I'd say, yes.

Depending on whether it's garaged, daily driven, washed regularly....

Being that it's a spray wax it is not a substitute for a proper wax job. But, just like UQW, the polymers in it are very tenacious so for a spray wax it's very long lasting. Just how long is going to be based on exposure, prep, etc but we'd expect a few to several weeks at most.

UQW will last upwards of a couple months probably more?...at least on my wife's MPV.
As I had mentioned on several other threads....after claying the MPV, I went straight to UQW, no traditional wax.
I think I clayed the MPV back in March, and to this day...water beads like crazy. I did hit the van again with UQW in June.
If Syn X-press spray wax is the same as UQW....which I believe it is.....should yield the same lenth of protection.

Btw, my wife's MPV is a DD but parked in the garage
