  • 65 Mustang, wet sand, buff and polish...

Just finished this Stang. Had some issues with the new paint that the owner wanted cleared up. Orange peel, sanding marks and some paint defects that the body shop let go. 3 full days worth of work for me.

    Air sanded with 1500, 2500

W5000 Double Sided Wool with M105 rotary
    Meguiar's 2.0 Yellow rotary M105
    Meguiar's 2.0 Black rotary M205
    Meguiar's 2.0 Black rotary PO85RD

    Topped with Menzerna Power Lock

Here's the before shot, doesn't look so bad, does it?

A little closer look reveals some problems

You can see just how much orange peel this paint has...

And of course being black it has some scratches and swirls...

Really excellent work there, Nick. I have a '67 Corvette (black) coming in that needs this level of paint correction. How long did it take you? 3-4 days or so?

              Looks great!

Amazing work Nick! Was that a single stage repaint?

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                        I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                        Remove swirls my friends.

From a distance that car does look good. But hey, now it looks alot better. Great job Nick.

That's incredible. The paint looks liquid. Superb job, Nick.
