Tim, Thanks for the warm welcome.

I figure if I want to quickly learn to use this new system, there is no better place.

How would this system go with a rotary or a rotax-type polisher with orbital forced rotation?

This system is an absolute no-go with a true rotary buffer - don't even try it! With a forced rotation tool (the Flex certainly comes to mind) it's fine. We even have 6" pads specifically for use on these tools.

Thanks Mike...that's great news! I use a Mak BO6040, which works similarly to a FLEX forced rotation. I rarely need a rotary.

I apologize if this has been answered but, can the MF pads be used with other Megs polishes (or other brands), or just with the MF specific polishes coming out?

I'm still pretty new to the world of detailing and was thinking of picking up a rotary buffer and some scrap body panels to practice on but was wondering if this system serves as a viable rotary replacement in the arsenals of serious hobby detailer's and the small time businesses? Basically, I plan on purchasing this microfiber system and do not have unlimited funds nor is this my primary source of income/business (college student) so can I expect near rotary level results with it or should I still look into getting the rotary buffer as well?

                          Thanks

Well, I was not fortunate enough to be chosen to test this system, but I have tested the Surbuf pads and these seem to be very simular. The Surbuf, I can safely say provides more correction then your traditional foam cutting pad via DA. Having said that, IMO nothing cuts like a Ratary w/ Wool for the super tuff stuff

All in all, I believe you would be very happy using this new system

Great, I'll definitely have to pick it up then and maybe in the future decide to get a rotary if I ever feel the need. Can't wait!

How will this stack up against some high grit wet sanding marks? Are there different levels of aggressiveness to the pads or is it just a one cut level?
