Pictures from Thursday Night Open Garage - November 11th, 2010

Last night's session was really all about listening to Tim McNair of Grand Prix Concours Preparation talking about his experiences dealing with preparing cars for some of the greatest car shows in the world - Pebble Beach, Amelia Island, Villa d'Este, etc - and working on some of the greatest cars in the world - from Pre War Alfas to classic Ferrari sports racers, elegant cars of the '20s and '30s to modern super cars and everything in between. He also shared some tips and tricks and shared hundred of images of various projects. This evening certainly was a treat for everyone who came out to hear Tim talk.

Tim works closely with Hagerty Insurance and they have his Monterey Seminar up on their website. If you want a real taste for what we experienced last night, visit Hagerty's website to view the seminar video.

We'd like to extend a warm "thank you" to Tim for sharing his experiences with our local MOL members!

              Mike & Mike & Tim & Dave & RJ,
last night was fantastic. Tim was simply oozing information and stories-- you guys should definitely plan on inviting him to come over again next year.
It was very cool meeting the COO Dave and finally having a face to put with the perfect reflective black M3 from Minnesota.
After a long week at work, it's always a treat to come to Meguiar's to enjoy great company, relax, enjoy cars and simply not have to be a serious Sam.

              Thanks for 2010!

                    Hi Mike and Mike,

Thank you for another great TNOG at Meguairs. What a fantastic way to end the season with
                    Tim Mc Nair.

Not only does Tim know his stuff, he’s got a neat sense of humor and really is comfortable in
                    front of a group.

Hats off to both of you ... and to Barry, for these events ... they sure are fun.

See you guys and all the “Regulars” (Paul, Andy, Bob etc) next season.

                    Take care.

I haven't been able to attend many TNOG's over the last 3 months due to the demands of a new job, but I'm glad this one coincided with a holiday. Anytime I can listen to one of the top detailing craftsmen share his methods and techniques, I always come away with ideas on how to polish smarter nd more effectively.

Although Tim is not sponsored in any way by Meguiars, his enthusiastic endorsement of several Megs products only bolstered my confidence that we have chosen the Gold Standard of detailing manufacturers. Most impressive of all of Tim's answers was his identification of M205 as not only his "go-to" product, but also as the best polishing product available.

I just wanted to thank everyone who attended the TNOG. I had a great time and I'm glad that people enjoyed it.
I want to thank Mike Pennington and Michael Stoops for their assistance and enthusiasm for these events. Thanks as well to Dave Gunderson and I'm glad he had an opportunity to speak to us as a group. Shows how everyone at Meguiar's is friendly and approachable.
Thanks for making my stay at Meguiar's a memorable one.

I'm glad I was able to make it out to this last TNOG. It was great seeing everyone at Meguiar's again and having the pleasure of listening to Tim.

See you all in the spring!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                            I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                            Remove swirls my friends.
